Job description
- Repairs, calibrates, and maintains FPU instrumentation systems.
- Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with SAP schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical activities
- Monitors FPU master charts to establish instrument malfunctions.
- Conduct major services, overhauls, and intrusive maintenance on site equipment.
- Ensures the installation, calibration, and testing of FPU instrumentation is conducted in accordance with Company requirements and statutory Government standards.
- Conduct and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in SAP and any follow up work and material required is identified.
- Lead and mentor a team of instrument, ICSS and telecom technicians.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
- Oversee installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment including sensors, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, and PLC/DCS systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of process monitoring and safety systems (e.g., ESD, F&G systems).
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Support the day-to-day running of the FPU by safely performing Instrument maintenance tasks on FPU utility and production equipment.
- Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace.
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with company HS&E policy, procedures, and Safety Management System
- Be familiar with and adhere to the Wood Safety Cocoon, with specific focus on the Life Saving Rules.
- Comply with all relevant HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate.
- Actively participate and support all company Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives, and improvements

- Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
