- Reporting to on shift ELT
- Conducts and reviews the results of tests run in control room and ensure their reliability and accuracy.
- Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform electrical systems is conducted in accordance with company requirements and any statutory guidelines.
- Embedding GOE values and culture into the team and identifying any areas that are deficient so that alterations and improvements can be made.
- Put forward suggestions and develop modification requests as necessary to improve plant/equipment efficiency/safety operations.
- Maintaining all electrical equipment and systems controlling and supporting the FPU Process and Utility systems, Fire protection / extinguishing and appropriate Electrical Emergency Shutdown systems in a safe and competent manner
- Prepare equipment for maintenance activity.
- Proactively contribute to delivery against HSE plans and improvement objectives.
- Support for the transition to GOE safe systems of work at sail away to ensure that GOE duty of care is fulfilled.
- Maintain effective communication with Supervisors and other work groups.
- Working within the statutory Health and Safety Procedures and the Permit-to-Work system
- Implementing planned and corrective maintenance on all Electrical / production equipment
- Sound knowledge of plant operation, maintenance and computerised maintenance systems.
- Participate in PTW training for assurance that all personnel are competent with system requirements.
- Safety related equipment is supplied and installed correctly with any deficiencies identified as early as possible to allow timely rectification.
- Operate and carry out first line maintenance activities as directed by relevant Team Lead on the process and utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop and work sites.
- Ensure effective systems are maintained for the identification, assessment, and control of significant environmental risks at site.
- Conduct major services, overhauls, and intrusive maintenance on FPU equipment.
- Conduct MV & LV switching and isolations.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostic checks on all platform equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
- Conduct inspections on all portable equipment and complete relevant paperwork.
- Ensure critical spares are available and any discrepancies are addressed.
- Provide technical instruction and guidance to ad hoc personnel and new team members.
- Participate in HSEQ activities to make sure that risks are understood and controlled to highest level possible.
